i spent about 20 minutes yesterday printing out hotel and bed and breakfast confirmations and google maps for our ireland trip — a task that should have only taken about five minutes. the extra time was spent trying to figure out physical locations of all our accommodations. hard and fast addresses in ireland don’t appear to exist outside of dublin, and even dublin’s street addresses are a bit wonky.
i wouldn’t be worried, except that we’ll be without the use of our handy dandy iphone 3g network in ireland, relying on wi-fi services that i’m guessing are iffy if they exist at all. my google maps app keeps me grounded when i’m outside the state of tennessee, and i’m concerned with how we’ll cope without it.
