we met thanks to the wedding a mutual friend (thanks, chriswork!) and reconnected on the dance floor of our favorite hole-in-the wall bar in knoxville, sassy ann’s. we got to know each other thanks to a mutual love of eating, hanging out with our dogs playing scrabble and being homebodies.
we were walking our dogs together at sequoyah hills park, right along the tennessee river, and talking about what a beautiful sunday it was. the mlm said, ‘i know what would make today even better!’ the mg turned around, expecting him to suggest a trip to the gelato store. instead the mlm was down on one knee with a ring and a grin on his face.
